It is with mixed emotions that we share that the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation will no longer be holding Stadium Stampede, our annual 10K and 5K run.
After careful consideration of the needs of our hospital, patients and community, we have decided it is time to discontinue Stadium Stampede and focus our fundraising efforts in a way that we can grow and maximize philanthropic support for Saint Joe's. In the ever-changing healthcare landscape, our Foundation's mission and support of Saint Joe's remains strong: to reveal and foster God's healing love by improving the health of the people and communities it serves, especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
We have held Stadium Stampede for 32 wonderful years. In recent years, funds raised through Stadium Stampede supported Saint Joe’s Mobile Mammography program and enabled us to purchase a new van. As a result, this critically important (and at times lifesaving) screening became accessible to many women in our Denver community. We at the Foundation remain committed to supporting this important work, and it has become clear that there are better, more effective, and more beneficial ways to support our community.
We can't thank the Denver community enough for its/their enthusiasm, participation and support of this event over the past 32 years. We look forward to your continuing support of Saint Joseph Hospital as we work to provide the best care for our patients, their families and our community.
