Every screening mammography will be performed here on all new digital Siemens equipment. DEXA (Osteoporosis/Bone Density) is also moving to this location and getting new digital equipment.

The Exempla Healthcare's Board of Directors has approved the next phases of a $225 million investment to build a new patient tower at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center to better meet the growing health care needs of Jefferson County.

The project will renovate the existing hospital and add a new five-story, 200,000 square foot hospital pavilion on the northeast section of the campus.  As part of the project, the existing medical/surgical patient rooms will be renovated, and support functions added to enable the future electronic medical record. And a future expansion of the emergency/trauma care area will take place.
