Nursing at Saint Joseph Hospital
Welcome to Saint Joseph Hospital
We hope the following information will give you a special glimpse into nursing at Saint Joseph Hospital and the opportunities that await you here. At Saint Joseph, nurses truly live the words of our Mission, Vision, and Values. As I round and interact with our teams, I realize that the power to heal lies with the people who spend their days, nights, and weekends working with our patients.
Saint Joseph is currently in the process of pursuing designation in the Magnet Recognition Program®, which recognizes quality patient care, innovation, and nursing excellence. Additionally, we have a Certification Funding Program to enable nurses to attain higher levels of education in specific clinical areas and enhance knowledge and critical thinking. Competitive tuition reimbursement, scholarship, and internal education offerings are also available to associates.
Nurses can participate in preceptor programs and our Clinical Scholar program to make transitioning into the organization as seamless as possible for nurses new to the profession and new to Saint Joseph Hospital. This provides a great opportunity for experienced nurses to share their professional knowledge and expertise with others. All nursing associates are encouraged to be active in their unit based council, the hospital Nurse Practice Council, Evidence and Research Based Council, Quality, and Professional Development Council as well as many other councils and committees.
We excited and eager for you to explore the many opportunities available at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. Our nurses are the foundation of our organization!
