Saint Joseph Hospital and its clinical partner, National Jewish Health, provide free patient and caregiver support groups for those dealing a variety of conditions and diseases.


All About Sleep Apnea Class

National Jewish Health hosts a free weekly class for patients with sleep apnea and their families. All About Sleep Apnea takes place every Tuesday from 4-5:40 p.m. in Patient Education Room AO1B on the main National Jewish Health Campus at Colfax and Colorado.

Bariatric Support Group

The Weight Loss Surgery Center at Saint Joseph Hospital hosts monthly bariatric surgery support groups to help patients achieve their long-term weight loss goals. Bariatric Support Group meetings take place on Monday night at 6 p.m. in the Russell Pavilion at Saint Joseph Hospital.

Coping with Cancer Support Group

Coping with Cancer Support Group is a free community resource open to patients, survivors, caregivers and families impacted by cancer. The support group takes place on the first Tuesday of every month from 12:30-2 p.m. at the Cancer Centers of Colorado building on the Saint Joseph Hospital campus.

Diabetes Self-Management Education Program

National Jewish Health hosts a free weekly class for patients and families who have been diagnosed with diabetes and prediabetes. This class takes place every Friday from 1-2:30 p.m. in the Patient Education Room A01B on the main National Jewish Health campus at Colfax and Colorado.

This program is accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators.

Diabetes Support Group

National Jewish Health hosts a free bi-monthly support group for patients and families who have been diagnosed with diabetes and prediabetes. This group is intended for anyone diagnosed as prediabetic or diabetic who want to learn or review self-management skills or want better blood sugar control. Patients have an opportunity to speak with each other and learn successful ways each of them has managed their diabetes care. The support group takes place the first and third Friday of the month from 3-4 p.m. in the Patient Education Room A01B on the main National Jewish Health campus at Colfax and Colorado.

CPAP Support Group

National Jewish Health hosts a free support group for patients using a CPAP machine and the community at large. The CPAP Support Group meetings take place monthly in the Molly Blank Conference Center on the main National Jewish Health Campus at Colfax and Colorado.

Joe Walsh Memorial Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group

National Jewish Health hosts a free monthly support group for patients with any type of interstitial lung disease (ILD) and their families. The Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group takes place the second Tuesday of each month from 1-2 p.m. in the Molly Blank Conference Center on the main National Jewish Health Campus at Colfax and Colorado.

Lung Cancer Support Group

National Jewish Health hosts a free monthly support group for lung cancer patients and their families. The Lung Cancer Support Group takes place the third Thursday of each month from 3-4 p.m. in the cafeteria on the main National Jewish Health Campus at Colfax and Colorado.

Stroke Support Group

Saint Joseph Hospital offers a free stroke support group for stroke survivors and caregivers. The group features expert speakers and support tools for survivors and those who care for them. The group meets from 1-2 p.m. on the fourth Friday of the month in the Midtown Medical Offices across from Saint Joseph Hospital.
